Introduction
Due to climate change highly localized heavy precipitations events will occur more often.
Especially in rivers with small catchments, this increases the risk of flash floods,
which can cause severe damage to the environment.
Mostly these rivers are ungauged, because of the high costs of such water level stations.
At the TU Dresden the project EXTRUSO
researches for low-cost sensors, that suits the requirements of stream gauge stations.
In this work these requirements will be discussed.
Also, sensors, which use three different methods
for water level measurement will be explained and compared to another.
This Comparison wil be done with several accuracy assessment.
